Wild About The Erme River is now a registered charity

Following a lengthy application process last autumn, Wild About The Erme River (WATER) was granted charity status by the Charity Commission in October 2024. We feel that this was not only in recognition of WATER’s worthy objective of restoring water quality and habitat for the public good but also recognising the fact-based, science-led way that WATER goes about achieving its task.

The new status will hopefully assist with fundraising. Further announcements will be made about membership and donation options. In addition, WATER will now be able to make grant applications to organisations for whom charity status is a prerequisite.
